Apple has announced that Apple Intelligence is coming to Vision Pro. After arriving properly on iPhone, iPad and Mac in December 2024, the company has revealed its spatial computing headset is next to get the Apple Intelligence treatment.
Apple Vision Pro will be updated in April and the addition of Apple Intelligence will bring with it a number of new features, from Writing Tools to Image Playground and Genmoji. That’s not all though, Apple has also announced an Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone and there’s a new way for friends to experience Vision Pro too. Here’s everything you need to know.
What Apple Intelligence features are coming to Vision Pro?
When visionOS 2.4 arrives, Apple Intelligence will be a part of that software update and it will bring a number of features to Apple Vision Pro. You can read all about Apple Intelligence in a feature I wrote separately, but this is what you can expect to see if you have Apple’s spatial computer.
Writing Tools allow you to summarise, rewrite and proofread text pretty much everywhere you write, from Mail to Notes, as well as third party apps. You can adjust the tone of your writing with Rewrite, while Proofread will check grammar and sentence structure. Summarise meanwhile, will do exactly what it says on the tin and give you a quick summary of a larger piece of text, while the Compose function can pull in the use of ChatGPT.

Image Playground is something those using Apple Intelligence on their iPhone will likely have dabbled with. It allows you to create fun images from a description, and it can create images in the likeness of a friend or family member using your photos too. For Apple Vision Pro, it comes as a dedicated app, making it nice and easy to use.
Genmoji also arrives with visionOS 2.4, allowing you to create your own emojis from a description, while Smart Reply in both Messages and Mail identifies questions and suggests relevant replies to help you respond more quickly.
Elsewhere, there’s natural language search in Photos to help you find pictures quickly, and there’s also support for extra features that come with Apple Intelligence including Priority Messages in Mail, Mail Summaries, Priority Notifications in Notification Centre, and Notification Summaries.
What else will visionOS 2.4 offer?
Along with Apple Intelligence, visionOS 2.4 will bring a couple of new tricks to Vision Pro. There will be a new app called Spatial Gallery that will pull together a selection of spatial photos, spatial videos, and panoramas curated by Apple for the device. The idea is that users will be able to enjoy content specifically created for Vision Pro.
An Apple Vision Pro app is also arriving on iPhone. If you already have an Apple Vision Pro, when you update your iPhone to iOS 18.4, the Vision Pro app will appear automatically, but you can also download the app from the App Store if you are considering buying one, or you want to know what it’s all about.

The Apple Vision Pro app will allow you to queue apps and games to download, discover new content and experiences, find tips, and access information about your Vision Pro from your iPhone. There’s a discover page with curated recommendations and you will also be able to see popular apps and games on the App Store.
The My Vision Pro page meanwhile, will show tips, information like the serial number, and allow you to set up Personalised Spatial Audio.
Last, but certainly not least, visionOS 2.4 will bring new enhancements to the Guest User mode. Through the Control Centre on an iPhone or iPad, you will be able to choose which apps your guest can see on your Vision Pro, and guests can save their eye and hand setup for up to 30 days after their last use.

The visionOS 2.4 improvements to Guest Mode also mean you can start a Guest User session from a nearby iPhone or iPad. When that device is unlocked, you can choose which apps are accessible to your friend or family member that’s trying your Vision Pro out and you can start a View Mirroring with AirPlay session to make it easy to help guide your guest.
When will Apple Intelligence be available on Apple Vision Pro?
Apple Intelligence will launch with the visionOS 2.4 software, which Apple has said will roll out in April.
It will be initially available in beta, and with support for US English, so to experience it, you will need to set your Vision Pro device to US English. That’s how Apple Intelligence rolled out for iPhone, iPad and Mac in October, before more language support arrived a couple of months later in December.
For now, Apple hasn’t confirmed when Apple Intelligence will arrive in the final form on Apple Vision Pro, only to say more support will arrive “later in the year”. You will still be able to try out the new features in the beta software though.
